Persona 4 golden true ending locations12/19/2023 ![]() ![]() If that's what you're after, the string of dialogue choices will have an obvious path leading you to a better ending. ![]() This is easily missed so make sure you pay att. Simply put, this murder-mystery isn't just the usual "find the culprit" affair: you're meant to pursue the truth - the theme of Persona 4. How to Get True Golden EndingHIGHLY IMPORTANTThis response determines if you get the Good or True ending. You have to correctly answer a number of unfairly hard questions to get the true endingĪgain, if you've been paying attention, this particular event won't be such an endeavour as what occurs prior to this string of dialogue choices is an event that is meant to evoke your emotional side. The game will also throw a lot of curveballs and feints as to the culprit's identity, as well as playing up your emotions during critical moments - your response to the latter is what determines your path towards the endings of the game. It's only not considered a challenge if you've been paying attention to the details of the overarching murder-mystery. The story is a stupid Scooby-Doo-like detective mystery with no real challenge in figuring things out (which I don't really mind if it's true) ![]() Even if they were fully justified, they are so minor a consideration in the totality of things that they shouldn't affect your choice to play in the slightest. P4G is one of the greatest games of all time IMO don't let these discussions put you off. So, it's actually fair that these variations exist. ![]() In retrospect, if you look back at the sequences and the information that's available, there's things there that point to things not being quite as they seem. The middle one, which is your actual detective work, is eminently fair as if you've been paying attention there are only two people that fit, and you get three guesses. The final option is a straight choice, and the default is the wrong answer, picking it means you get the Good Ending rather than going on to the True Ending. On the first one, even though you get feedback immediately that you've got it wrong by the calendar rolling forward, there's a sequence that has one, and only one, correct path through to get on the good ending path. I'd say those who say the first and the last point can be seen as unfair have a point. In addition there is a prerequisite for getting the Golden Epilogue to the true ending which was new with P4G. This does give players the ability to fuse Magatsu-Izanagi, Adachi's persona, and one of the more difficult personas to get considering you need to fuse it in New Game + after accepting this dark ending to the game. There are three points where you have to make choices that affect whether you can go on to the best endings. While this is an evil ending that is not a satisfactory ending to the story, it does give the player Adachi's phone number, a key item that transfers over to New Game+. The final scene has the protagonist seeing the true murderer walking free, and the guilt they feel for making that possible. The fog represents the general public's ignorance, and with the true murderer not being found, the fog will stay in Inaba forever, as the truth is permanently clouded from view. After everything the Investigation Team went through, the player's final choice was to betray his friends to protect Adachi, even destroying evidence to protect him. Adachi now has blackmail over the protagonist and will be responsible for whatever Adachi chooses to do with his freedom. The Accomplice ending has the true murder free of punishment and a permanent layer of fog covering Inaba. ![]()
